Join San Diego Symphony for Distant Worlds: music from FINAL FANTASY at the 2010 Summer Pops, where you can enjoy the very finest in symphonic pops music from comfortable table seating at our picturesque, one-of-a-kind waterfront venue. An evening at the Pops also includes fun pre-show entertainment, relaxing picnic areas, a variety of food and beverage offerings, fireworks on most concerts, and San Diego's dramatic downtown skyline by the Big Bay! This concert coincides with the opening day of Comic-Con International 2010.
The San Diego Symphony's Summer Pops has the most distinctive setting of any orchestra. It's an astonishingly scenic outdoor music site that is one of the most beautiful in the nation. A grassy, tree-studded peninsula holds a large concert shell, with video screens to show the images from Final Fantasy. Relax on the lawn, in bleachers, or sit in one of the many cabaret-style tables. Gates open at 6pm and right as the sun sets, Arnie Roth and the San Diego Symphony will start the concert.
